Suzuki inaugurates the highest altitude workshop in India

A new outlet has been opened by Maruti Suzuki in an incredible area, situated at the highest altitude of any car workshop at 3,740 metres in a remote region above the sea level. It broke its own record as its previous high altitude workshop was to be found at 3,505 metres. The new workshop aims to attract a great number of tourists as well as a growing number of customers in the area as it is located on the North East of the Continent, at Kaza in Himachal Pradesh, an area which is considered by most to be cut off from the rest of the world for four months of the year. Thus, the challenging 150 mile journey that customers had to make in order to get their car repaired will be drastically reduced and Suzuki will have the ability to support a local pool of 700 Suzuki vehicles. Supporting growth in new car sales is one of Suzuki's main objectives as it appears to be very keen on establishing the importance of developing more aftersales outlets in as many places as possible. It boasts a market share of more than 50 per cent of passenger vehicles sold across India.
The sales volume reached 1.1 million units in 2010 and the company executives hope to reach 1.7 million units sold annually in 2013. Another priority of the company is to have service outlets every 25 km across India, while it currently holds 2,992 service workshops and 900 new car dealers, serving 1,406 Cities.
