Korea2012 Hyundai Sonata receives its first facelift in South

The Sonata mid-size sedan, the South Korean market version, has recently received its fist mild facelift from Hyundai, boasting light changes on the outside and as well as in the inside. Thus, a fresh choice of alloy wheels designs including a set of 18-inch multispoke rims, reshaped mirror casings, new LED taillights at the back together with a revamped front grille featuring a less chrome on top, make up the facelifted exterior of the car, while the interior is mainly described by some minor tweaks that include an improved standard equipment, LED spot lights, higher quality materials and new trim options. In South Korea, Hyundai replaced the 2.4-liter gasoline engine with the more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot that delivers 271 HP, while the Sonata continues with the 165 HP 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit, mated to an automatic transmission or a manual gearbox. However, Hyundai did not release any details whether when the styling changes would pass on to the international market version of the Sonata.
