The Italians are now in style. In fact, to be more precise, the Italian military police as they have just got two bespoke Lotus Evora S cars. The models will be used in their activities by the Arma dei Carabinieri from Rome and Milan. The models have the same equipment and so both have voice recognition technology that features Enhanced Vehicle Automation system, but also a portable refrigeration compartment. This last one will be used for transporting organs and blood if there is an emergency. The Evora S has a 3.5-liter DOCH V6 VVT-I engine that delivers 350 PS / 257.5 kW at 7000 rpm and 400 Nm / 295 lb ft of torque at 4500 rpm. The model can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in only 4.8 seconds and is capable of reaching a top speed of 172 mph. This is what the officials declared, if it's the truth of not, well, we'll just have to stay with the doubt. Maybe the two cars are even more powerful than that.
