This year's EcoVelocity Motor Show, which is going to take place on September 8-11, is to host one of Citroen's most efficient cars, thus proving that the carmaker aims to maintain its position as the first major carmaker operating on the British market. The micro-hybrid e-HDi versions of DS3, DS$ and new C4, as well as the 100 percent electric Zero, will be displayed at the auto show, highlighting the star of the French carmaker's stand. The only interactive demonstration of the latest electric, hybrid and low-CO2 cars in the UK and promising a range of 93 miles on a full charge, being perfect for dodging the dreaded London Congestion Charge, will imply that visitors to EcoVelocity will be able to drive three of the six cars Citroen that will be held on display. EcoVelocity Event Director, Giles Brown announced in a press release that C-Zero had already created an enormous stir in the world of motoring since its launch and they were extremely pleased to welcome it at the auto show to offer visitors a chance to test it out on their track. He added that having Citroen on board as the first major car brand to take part was highly positive, highlighting the fact that greener motoring was very much on the agenda of leading car manufacturers. Citroen UK Managing Director, Linda Jackson also stated to the press that Citroen was extremely focused on improving fuel economy and lowering emissions right across their range, but they also aimed to encourage motorists to make environmentally conscious driving decisions. She considered that concepts like Survolt showcasing future potential for eco-technologies in motorsports together with the zero-emissions C-Zero that provided a practical solution for the city driving, gave Citroen the certainty of taking the right decisions. Citroen was delighted to take part at the EcoVelocity event that helps to enhance the importance of driving greener, cleaner cars in the urban envirnonment. Subscribe to Car news by Email |
