The new Porsche 991 is undoubtedly the most spied car of this year and it will soon come to be known as the latest generation of the 911. Some recent spy photographs show a variety of prototypes that range from the standard Carrera Coupe to the Turbo Convertible. These latest photos might reveal what is considered to be either the Carrera or the Carrera S, most probably in final production trim because the car appears to integrate white protective strips that are normally found on vehicles that are to be transported. The passenger seat features a tag, but, unfortunately, it was not possible to zoom out so that one could understand what it says. The new 911 was not officially revealed by Porsche, but the gunmetal-grey model incorporated the misleading decals on the headlamps and tail lights. A new 3.4-liter delivering 350 HP for the Carrera and a 3.8-liter producing 400 HP for the sportier Carrera S, are to be found under the familiar hood.
More details will be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, where the 2012 Porsche 911 is scheduled to make its debut.
Until then, admire the car in the pictures below and share ideas in the comments section.
