The Urban Concept was revealed in a few sketches. The model is a new practical car with a 1+1 seating configuration that was created to resist in very crowded cities where the traffic is an issue. It also has a few characteristics of a racing car so it has to be really pleasant and why not fun, driving it.
The model is an original one, as the carmaker declared they haven't used another model as base. The main expectations refer to the weight, the efficiency and the size.
The Urban Concept features free-standing wheels that have surrounding protective plates that integrate LED lights strips and this will be created to "touch" the design of the car.
On the inside the passengers sit in a low position and the driver has the possibility to adjust the steering wheel and also the pedals to fit his stature. A very interesting feature refers to the roof that is designed to slide to the rear when opened to allow access inside. So yes, the passengers are actually entering through the tailgate as you imagined.
The material the cockpit is made of is carbon fiber polymer and the styling features large 21-inch light alloy wheels.
The car is powered by an electric motor and lithium-ion batteries.
