The Frankfurt Motor Show is getting closer and closer and we received news from Toyota saying that it will present the full production version of the Prius Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). The new model is able to maintain a fuel economy that indicates 128.4 mpg on the European cycle. This is not all. The CO2 emissions electric Prius are 49 g / km and all these are possible thanks to a more compact lithium-ion battery. This new Prius has a 1.8-liter engine, paired with an electric motor that is able to deliver 97 horsepower and the electric motor helps out adding 79 bhp. The model can reach a top speed of 62 mph in electric mode. The new Prius will be able to travel with six miles more than the current generation. The carmaker is very confident and declared that it's possible for the PHEV to become its hybrid lineup.
