The Soul facelift will have two options when it comes to the engine: a 2.0-liter engine that is able to deliver 164 horsepower and also a 1.6-liter engine that can deliver 138 horsepower. The carmaker equips the 2012 Soul with gasoline direct injection that reduces the fuel consumption and the CO2 emissions and also the model has a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission.
The car features a tilt and telescoping steering column, Hill-start Assist Control and Vehicle Stability Management.

The 2012 Soul! costs less than $20.000 and it has a lot of equipment like: 18-inch alloy wheels, LED lights, a 4.3-inch color touch screen and rear camera display, the Microsoft-powered UVO voice-activated infotainment system and the 350-watt seven-speaker Infinity audio system.
The model will be available in three trim levels: the Soul, the Soul + and the Soul!. These are for the 2012 version.
