VW presented the !Up production version

In 2007 Volkswagen presented the !Up concept. Now, time has come to see how the production version really looks like. Today, Volkswagen revealed it. The !Up is a small 3-door vehicle that offers plenty of space for four passengers measuring 3.54 m in length and 1.64 m in height.
The German carmaker created this model for urban use and, apparently, the first model in its class will be equipped with City Emergency Braking. The model features a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine that has two versions. One can deliver 44 kW / 60 PS and the other one, 55 kW / 75 PS.
Also the model includes a Stop / Start system and BlueMotion technology. When it comes to the fuel consumption, the numbers indicate 4.2 l / 100 km for the 60 PS one and 4.3 l / 100 km for the 75 PS one. The CO2 emissions are less than 100 g / km.
VW's plans include developing a model with a natural gas engine that can deliver 50 kW / 68 PS with a 3.2 l / 100 km fuel consumption and 86 g / km CO2 emission level.
The City Emergency Braking system mentioned above is active at a speed below 30 km/h and it's able to reduce the speed of the vehicle to avoid an incident, like a collision and this way it reduces the impact.
The !Up features a mobile Portable Infotainment Device that includes the navigation system, the information and entertainment system and, of course, the telephone.
The world debut of this model will take place in Frankfurt at the 2011 IAA auto show, next month,
The price is still unknown.
