The seventh generation Camry and Camry Hybrid were introduced in the US not long ago and now the carmaker, Toyota tells us we will be able to purchase them from everywhere starting this fall at $21.955. So the Camry that features four-cylinder will be available in dealerships starting October and the Camry Hybrid from November.
The model grades the customers will be able to choose from are: the entry-level L, value-driven LE, premium XLE and SE grades which is the sporty one. The last two ones are available with four-cylinder or with V6 engines. When it comes to the Hybrid version, the carmaker only offers the LE and XLE grades.
There will be available three powertrains: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that is able to deliver 178 horsepower and 170 lb ft of torque, a 3.5-liter V6 that can produce 268 horsepower and 248 lb ft of torque and last, but not least, the Hybrid version powered by a Synergy Drive powertrain that has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine able to develop 200 horsepower.
If what worries you the most is the safety, well you should know it is equipped with 10 airbags, an electronic tire pressure monitoring system, Toyota's Star Safety System and Smart Technology brake-override system. All these features are standard.
The price list of the 2012 Toyota Camry is: the L model costs $21.955, the LE $22.500, the SE $23.000, and the XLE $24.725, all these with a 2.5-liter L4 engine.
