Finally we have clearer images of the new Urban Sportback and Spyder concept models. Audi will prepare the two models for their premier that will take place at this year's Frankfurt Auto Show, in Germany, in September.
The carmaker declared the fact that like any other Audi model these two have as base some main principals: efficiency and reduction and lightweight construction.
This models measure 3.200 mm in length, 1.700 mm in width and 1.200 mm in height and features 21-inch wheels. It also features two e-tron electric motors that receive power from a lithium-ion battery.
The two models were built out of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer and aluminum and so their weight is being kept under control.
In Spyder form, the concept gains a pair of doors that open diagonally along with a lowered windshield and continuous side window area. In the same time, the Urban Soprtback features a canopy that forms part of the body and slides up and to the back. In that way we can see it features a 1+1 seat layout with the passenger positioned to the back of the driver and back.
This is what the carmaker revealed so far, but more information will be available next month.
