Along with the updated variants of the Giulietta and Mito hatchbacks, the freshly painted version of the 4C sports coupe concept will be joined at Alfa Romeo's Frankfurt Motor Show stand. Alfa Romeo's new double-clutch TCT transmission will be added to the Giulietta and it comprises the 2.0-liter turbodiesel and the 1.4-liter turbocharged MultiAir gasoline engine, both of which deliver a maximum output of 170 HP. The TCT provides reduced CO2 emissions to 121 g/km and fuel consumption to 5.2 lt/km. The diesel variant features CO2 emissions of 119 g/km and 4.5 lt/100 km. These figures make no compromise on the performance of the car. The 1.4 MultiAir's 0-100 km/h sprint is of 7.7 seconds, while its top speed is of 218 km/h. In the 2.0 JTDM, the TCT brings the Giulietta to a 0-100 km/h sprint of 7.9 seconds. The three-door Mito, which is considered to be Alfa's smallest model, will surprise its audience at Frankfurt as it will comprise the new 0.9-liter, turbocharged two-cylinder TwinAir engine delivering 85 Hp and 110-145 Nm of torque depending on the DNA program, that was first seen at the Fiat 500 and was the proud winner of the "International Engine of the Year" award. The MiTo achieves a best-in-class CO2 emissions figure of 98 g/km and consumes up to 30 % less fuel than engines featuring comparable performance due to its MultiAir technology and the auto Stop-Start system. New designed alloy wheels, a two-tone black dashboard, mesh seat trim and a new "Nero Ametista" body color will be available for the new MiTo MultiAir. Furthermore, a new 1.3-liter JTDM turbodiesel engine featuring Start-Stop technology and variable turbocharger as standard, will soon be integrated into the MiTo. It has an Euro 5 compliant and an output of 85 HP, just like its petrol counterpart. Its CO2 emissions reach 90 g/km and boasts an average fuel consumption of 3.5 lt/100 km, falling to 2.9 lt/100 km on the highway. Subscribe to Car news by Email |
