More details on the ForVision EV concept are available

Frankfurt will have for the Auto Show a concept model released by BASF and Smart. Its name is ForVision and it's an EV concept. The model unites qualities like energy efficiency technologies, temperature management technologies and also is has very special design that makes you think long into the future.
The roof at the model can emit energy and it's the first one that transmits light. To be capable of doing that, the roof is covered in transparent solar cells that has as base organic dyes. Just wait, this is not all. The roof of the concept also features organic light-emitting diodes that are capable of illuminating the interior of the model.
To make sure the weight is reduced Smart and BASF created the first all-plastic wheels and this way the weight is reduced about 3kg/rim. The doors are also made of carbon fiber reinforced epoxy resin.
To keep the heat inside, the two created a few materials and technologies like a new infrared-reflective film. Over the window surface is being applied the film and so the temperature is being controlled.
This model will not be sent for production, but it will stay at the base of many models to come.
