The model has both coupe and convertible body styles as it's powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine like the Countryman SD and the Clubman SD. As a matter of fact, this is the biggest engine MINI has ever fitted on one of its models. It can deliver 105 kW/143 horsepower at 4.000 rpm and 305 Nm of torque from 1.750 rpm to 2.700 rpm. The convertible version of the MINI Cooper SD can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 8.7 seconds and can reach a top speed of 130 mph. The coupe version can reach 62 mph in 8.1 seconds and can reach a top speed of 134 mph. The model is a sports diesel car that means it has low fuel consumption. The numbers indicate 62.8 mpg for the convertible and 65.7 mpg for the coupe model.
