The first completely electric car, the Octavia E Line was sent for production by Skoda. We had the opportunity to see the concept last year at the Motor Show in Paris. First, the carmaker will only produce 10 units that will be sent to evaluate the emission free technology. These tests will help the engineers in the future so that they can reduce the CO2 emissions. Dr. Eckhart Scholz, Skoda's member for Technological Development is sure that the answers to emission limit are the electric vehicles and so the emission-free mobility is their main goal. The model features a 26.5kW lithium-ion battery pack and an electric motor that delivers constantly 80 horsepower (60kW) and up to 110 horsepower (85kW). The vehicle has as base the Octavia Combi. The E Line can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 12.0 seconds and can reach a top speed of 135 km/h. the speed is limited electronically. The Czech carmaker thought about the pedestrians as well and so the new model makes the noise a normal internal combustion engine does as the car features a sound generator that simulates it.
