In the local GP, Red Bull Racing's Sebastian Vettel successfully captured all the attention with his 10th pole position of the year in Monza, although McLaren has done considerable efforts to secure some publicity by opening its only Italian showroom in Milan just before the local GP. The race represents the last Grand prix in Europe for 2011 as Formula 1 is going to take its attention towards Asia for the next five races before the season finale at Brazil, which starts on Sunday at 12:00 GMT. The difference between Vettel and Lewis Hamilton was almost half a second in the favor of Sebastian Vettel, while Jenson Button was defeated by Hamilton by a mere 0,052 seconds. Fernando Alonso's fourth place was not a bad result and Tifosi embraced him being one place ahead of the second Red Bull of Mark Webber. Felipe Massa from Ferrari is going to start from sixth position, way ahead of the two Mercedes' of Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg and Renault's Vitaly Petrov. Late Ayrton's nephew, Bruno Senna completes the top ten of the starting grid with the second Renault.
