Ford had a lot of work before coming to this year's Auto Show in Frankfurt. But everything had a reason. The result of its efforts is called the 2012 Fiesta ST Concept and it represents the next generation of the model.
The model features a 1.6-liter Ford EcoBoost turbo-petrol 4-cylinder engine that is able to deliver 180 PS with 240 Nm of torque. The engine is equipped with Twin-independent Variable Camshaft Timing. The concept car can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 7 seconds and can reach a top speed of 220 km/h. The power is being sent to the wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox and the CO2 emission level will be 140g/km.
For the exterior the carmaker equipped the ST concept with a large rear diffuser and a rear roof spoiler, and large trapezoidal front grille, like the production version of the 2012 Fiesta ST.
Details on the interior were not revealed yet, but it will have a lot of style, for sure.
