The 2012 Exige S now has a new advert from Lotus. The commercial is called the Duel and shows the 2012 Exige S drifting its way against a boxer that could be the Porsche Boxster. Who knows, maybe it is.
The model features a 3.5-liter V6 supercharged engine that it's able to deliver 345 horsepower at 7000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. The 2012 Exige S has extra 35 horsepower under the hood in comparison with the 2009 Porsche Boxster, but it's true, its engine is only 3.4-liter.
The engineers say that the 2012 Lotus Exige S can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 170 mph.
This is not the only difference between the two models. The Porsche needs 4.9 seconds to get from 0 to 62 mph, so once more, the Boxster comes second.
