Scion, Toyota's division, made public two new limited edition models for the 2012 xB and xD. The two will arrive under the RS badge. Actually these models are not exactly new designs, but they managed to attract a lot of attention at this year's State Fair of Texas, where they've had the debut.
The xD Release Series which has a 4.0-liter engine is sold only with a Blizzard Pearl exterior paint and features 16-inch alloy wheels. On the interior the model gets coordinated trim for the center console, door panels and steering wheel. The floor mats have been modified and also the seats get various trim and white stitching.
The price for the model starts at $16.980 (including $730 destination fee) for the manual version and $17.780 for the automatic one.
There will only be built 800 units.
