Peugeot was very hard working and so at the end of last week, revealed their 4008. The model is actually their latest SUV/crossover and will have its world debut sometime next year, at the Geneva Motor Show. After the public display it will go on sale everywhere.
The 4008 has as base the same platform as the Citroen C4 Aircross which was presented to the world last week. The exterior and the interior of the two is quite different, even though, underneath, they're almost the same.
The new Peugeot model measures 4.34m in height and you will have two options when it comes to the engines: diesel and petrol.
The petrol one will include a 1.6-liter engine that it's able to develop 116 horsepower and 152 Nm of torque and a 2.0-liter one being able to deliver 113 horsepower and 198 Nm of torque. The diesel versions will be sold with a 1.6 HDi FAP engine delivering 112 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque or, the other possibility is a 1.8-liter HDi FAP developing 150 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. In the case of the petrol version, the power will be sent to the wheels through a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox and the diesel one will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Last, but not least, you should know, the 4008 will be available with both front-wheel-drive and an all-wheel-drive system.
