The 2012 Chevrolet Colorado, the most special midsize pickup truck, had its world premier today.
The model will feature a 2.5-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine and will be able to develop 150 horsepower or a 2.8-liter Duramax that will produce 180 horsepower and 470 Nm of torque with the 6-speed automatic transmission or 440 Nm with the 5-speed manual one.
The 2012 Colorado will go on sale in a few days and the carmaker offers 26 versions. The carmaker will also give you a choice between a single, extended and crew cab, two ride heights and also wide / narrow body styles. Another thing you will be able to choose is the rear-wheel-drive or the four-wheel-drive system.
The customer has a lot of decisions to make as Chevrolet also offers the Colorado in three trim levels: LS, LT and LTZ and with a choice between two setups for the suspension and chassis.
The model now has a new front fascia, re-designed headlights, also new rear with LED tail pipes, bumper and grille. These are the changes made for the outside. On the inside the 2012 model was a little modified and now features LED cluster and HVAC controls, chrome accents, between 19and 30 storage spaces and, of course, chrome accents.
Concerning the safety, the carmaker equipped the car with ESC, ABS, EBD, hydraulic brake assist, traction control and cornering brake control and a few airbags both for the driver and the passengers.
We will soon find out the price as well.
