Chevroled had received some bad news

It's been some time since we've last heard of a recall for Chevrolet. This time the model that is subject of such one is actually the Chevrolet Corvette belonging to the 2011 and 2012 model years. The problem refers to the rear hatch. The risk is that the rear hatch could detach from the car and create a lot of injuries. This is what the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration declared.
Apparently the dealers will have to replace the rear hinges, because they may not accomplish all the requirements specified in federal safety standards. All the operations will be made for free.
The total number of affected cars is 5.755 and includes the models built between the 24th 2011 and the 1st of September 2011, the hard-top ones.
If you are one of the unfortunate owners of one of these cars, you can contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration by calling 1-888-327-4236 or Chevrolet at 11-800-630-2438.
