Nissan introduced their first eco-car Almera in Thailand

Nissan Motor Thailand had just created their first eco-car ever called the Almera. The carmaker wants to introduce it under Thailand's government new green automotive program and turn it into the first hatchback eco-car.
The vehicle was built respecting all regulations initiated by Thailand's Ministry of Industry's Board of Investment and so it makes the perfect candidate to get the "eco-car" designation.
The model features a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine that is able to deliver 79 horsepower and the power is being sent to the wheels through either a manual transmission or the XTRONIC-CVT. The CO2 emissions and also the fuel consumption have been reduced a lot thanks to Almera's start-stop system.
The model is being built at Nissan Motor Thailand's plant in Samutprakarn, in Thailand and you can already purchase it. Last, but not least, you should know, the model comes in six different colors and is available in six grades.
