The only one left to sign an agreement with the United Auto Workers union was Chrysler as General Motors and Ford already did it. The contract the two signed is for four years and is the first after Chrysler's 2009 bailout and the Fiat deal. At the moment there are 26.000 people working for Chrysler and with the agreement, the carmaker will create another 2.100 new jobs. This will be possible now that Chrysler will invest around $4.5 billion in its US plants. General Holiefield, UAW vice president considers this contract, this collaboration as being a great thing for Chrysler. Anyway, the details on the contract will not be revealed as it's not final yet and still need to be ratified by the UAW members. We really don't think it will be a lot different from the one with GM and Ford. It might be less lucrative as unlike the former two, which posted profits in 2010, Chrysler reported losses.
