Alfa Romeo was in the mood for a change and so decided to equip the Giulietta hatchback with their twin dry clutch semi-automatic transmission. In the UK, this TCT gearbox can be fitted either to the 1.4 TB MultiAir petrol producing 170 BHP or to the 2.0 JTDM-2 diesel that also produces 170 BHP. By doing this, the economy of the car, as well as the performance, will be increased.
Being powered by the 1.4-liter the car is able to reach a top speed of 135mph and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds. The fuel consumption indicates 54.3 mpg on the combined cycle and releases 121 g/km CO2 emissions.
The 2.0-liter allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and the fuel consumption decreases from 62.8 mpg to 60.1 mpg.
