Chrysler will make a big investment in its Michigan plant

Chrysler decided to invest $165 million in its Sterling Heights, Michigan plant for a one million square foot body shop.
At the end of last year, the carmaker also announced that it would invest up to $ 850 million in the plant's new paint shop and stamping facilities in Sterling Heights and Warren. Since June 2009, Chrysler managed to invest a total of $ 3.5 billion.
Scott Gaberding, Chrysler's senior vice president and head of manufacturing proudly declared that the plant that was almost closed two years ago, will become a state of the art facility that will play an important role in building the next generation of new vehicles.
Now, here are produced the Chrysler's 200 and the Dodge Avenger mid-size sedans. Because it didn't close, the company saved 1.200 jobs and added another 900.
The most important thing is that the carmaker knew exactly how to roll the money, how to invested and when. This saved the plant that was so close of being shut down.
