Hyundai won the Golden Award

Hyundai is in the middle of a small celebration. The carmaker has won its first Golden Award at this year's EuroCarBody Conference. The event was held in Germany, close to Frankfurt. The manufacturer managed to defeat other carmakers from Europe, but from Japan as well. In fact, this prize was the first one for any Asian manufacturer. To determine the winner, 500 automotive experts had to vote.
The model we are talking about, the model that brought the prize is the i40 that managed to get 37.98 points out of a maximum of 50. The closest rival was the Audi A6, followed by Mercedes B-Class.
By winning this prize, Hyundai feels their efforts of offering safety to their customers were recognized. The same car had recently got a maximum of five-star rating in the Euro NCAP crash test that was proof that their technology is market-leading. They will continue their efforts to improve the technology regarding the safety and the vehicle's performance. This is what Senior Vice President and COO of Hyundai Motor Europe, Allan Rushforth declared.
