Mitsubishi has planed to make a big fiasco with the launch of their next-generation EVO. On the other hand, Subaru is calm when it comes to revealing its next WRX and STI.
Apparently these models will be turned into standalone models and so, they will no longer be hot Impreza models. The reason for this is not very obvious, but the carmaker wants to give them their custom platform when they get to production in 2013.
The senior VP of Sales from Subaru of America declared the fact that the carmaker had reached its limit and that they are willing to let the two cars leave their standard drawbacks, like the lack of a premium interior and of course, other features and become complete performance cars.
This is what they want and for sure, this is what they'll get. It seems that, in an earlier report is mentioned that the STI will have an engine able to deliver 300 horsepower.
