Not a long time ago, you had the opportunity to see the first images of the new Toyota FT-86 sportscar. The model will have its world debut at this year's Tokyo Auto Show. In the gallery below we have prepared for you some new shots from a magazine form Japan.
We do have to admit, the FT-86 looks really great in red and with the new circular headlights will make sensation.
The model will feature a 2.0-liter boxer engine developed by Subaru and the power will be sent to the wheels through a six-speed manual or an optional automatic gearbox. You can expect to see it in dealerships starting next year.
The model was tested on snow and apparently the FT-86 did really well as the engineers have brought the engine and gearbox as close to the ground as possible to ensure balance.
The window profile of the model looks like the old 2000 GT, but the rest of the car looks modern. From the back you can say it has LED stop lights as standard.
