Even if it's a little hard to believe, Toyota has a lot to celebrate. Beside the earthquake in March and now the Thailand floods, the Japanese carmaker will soon release the FT-86 RWD coupe. Also, the company reached the 2 million Yaris rolled off the Toyota Manufacturing France plant in France.
Makoto Sano, the president of this plant said that this number was achieved thanks to the dedication of all their members and now, with the new Yaris there is no doubt, the factory will do just fine.
In the present time, the French plant is building the recently released third generation of the best selling model in Europe and from next year as well and also produces a hybrid HSD version of the Yaris.
The plant offers jobs to 3.500 workers and another 800 will be added, representing a EUR 1 billion total investment. Here are included the EUR 150 million for the new Yaris.
