We have to admit, the Veloster developed by Hyundai is not really a surprise as we've heard of it in January, but the carmaker only revealed it now. In Australia a 1.6-liter turbo petrol engine will be on the same list with the three-door sport hatchback line-up. This information came after the one on the debut of the Veloster Turbo in North America at the Detroit Motor Show. The model has a naturally aspirated version that will be launched in Australia at the beginning of next year and that same year a turbo model will follow. This last one will get a 1.6-liter four-cylinder unit with a twin-scroll turbocharger, an air guided intercooler, direct fuel injection system and also a dual CVVT that develops 204 horsepower and 265 Nm. But these umbers won't be the same on all the markets.
