Ford revealed the Fiesta ST 5-door Concept

Ford revealed the ST 5-door Concept yesterday, before its debut at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. This version of the Fiesta comes in the same year with the three-door version that was revealed earlier in Frankfurt at the Auto Show.
The two ST models are actually not that different when it comes to styling, except the two extra doors.
The ST 5-door is powered by a 1.6-liter Ford EcoBoost 4-cylinder turbo engine just like the 3-door version. It can deliver 180 horsepower and 177 lb.-ft. of torque. The carmaker will equip the car with twin independent variable camshaft timing and the power will be sent to the wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox.
The inspiration for the 5-door Fiesta ST came from the Fiesta RS WRC.
Also the model has a large trapezoidal front grille, a rear diffuser, a twin exhaust system and 17-inch alloy wheels. The special elements it has are the red calipers and the ventilated brake discs.
There won't be a big difference between the Ford Fiesta ST 5-door concept and its production version, except some almost insignificant design modifications. The 2012 model will have different headlights when it will go on sale.
