BMW announced the M3 Coupe Limited Edition

The M division developed by BMW back in 1972 became very fast the most successful sub-brand in the auto world. As a 40 years celebration of M, the German carmaker will launch a limited version of the M3 Coupe. Its name will be Competition Edition.
For the US there will be built 40 units equipped the same. The price per unit is $ 81.060 including destination and handling charge. This price is actually $ 21.000 over the price of the M3 Coupe, the standard version. In the end this extra money will not get you a lot special elements as expected.
The model features black GTS alloy wheels, the M side gills and exhaust tips. It has a BMW Individual Frozen Silver Metallic exterior finish with a deep metallic luster. On the outside the carmaker offered black hood intakes and dark chrome exterior trim for the kidney grills.
On the inside, the Limited Edition features black Extended Novillo Leather with palladium silver accents and also some stitching on front seats, center armrest, center console and door trim panels. The list continues with an Alcantara-covered steering wheel with an M3 Checkered Flag logo inlay. You can also find it on the door sills.
The model is still powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine that is able to deliver 414 horsepower. The car sends the power to the wheels through a double clutch transmission. This way, the car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.
