Chevrolet launches the Cobalt

Chevrolet revealed more details on the new Cobalt. The model was revealed for the first time at the 2011 Buenos Aires Auto Show in June, but back then it was just a concept. The carmaker sent it to production and in the gallery below you have some images revealing the production version.
The new 2012 model will go on sale in 40 countries all around the world including Europe, South America, Middle East and Africa. The US might have to wait a little as it overlaps with the Sonic.
The model was designed in Brazil and for this country the carmaker is offering two engine options: a 1.4-liter that is able to produce 102 horsepower and a bigger one, a 1.8-litter.
General Motors declare the fact that the Cobalt is a global product, created for all markets and this is why it offers a choice of four cylinder engines with displacements ranging from 1.3-liter to 1.8-liter running on ethanol, petrol or diesel. The power will be sent to the wheels through a manual transmission.
