Toyota is keeping up with the hybrid technologies and it seems that the hybrid and the gas-electric powerplants will have a lot to do with the big sales targets for 2012. Of course, this is not all the Japanese carmaker has in mind. Toyota engineers will bring hybrids to the market in form of the Prius, but they are also thinking in advance and it seems they are planning a hydrogen-powered car for the people by 2015. We have to admit that this is a very ambitious plan. The only problem will be the price of the model that will be quite high and this is why we are sure you will not have the opportunity to see crowds in showrooms when the gas price surges. Alain Uyttenhoven, Toyota Europe Vice President for Product Planning & Marketing is expecting to sell a fuel cell vehicle to retail at about EUR 100.000 in Europe. Well, we have to admit it sounds like an awesome car, but the price sounds the same.
