Next year, in April, at the Beijing Auto Show, partners Daimler AG and BYD Auto will reveal an electric car for China. Today they have revealed their plans. For example, back in 2010, the two companies formed a 50-50 joint R&D venture, called "BDNT" or "Shenzhen BYD Daimler New Technology Co. Ltd" and this way tried to create a new brand building pure electric vehicles for China. The BDNT could actually reveal the brand's identity, like its name, logo and positioning in the Chinese market if it previews the production models exterior and interior design. The work for the real production model has begun and by next year, they hope to be finished. The two partners will launch the electric vehicles in 2013 for the Chinese customers. We will have more details later next year at the Auto Show from Beijing.
