Ford told us a little about the new 2012 Focus ST, but nothing clear. Even so, the carmaker has secured a position as the star car of the upcoming British film, "The Sweeney". This movie has as base the original TV series that aired in the UK between 1975 and 1978. The connection between Ford and the '70s series is very strong as in the police drama were used models like the Ford Granadas, Cortinas and Consuls. Especially for the movie, the carmaker has delivered several Focus ST models along with Mondeos, Galaxys and Transits. Next year, in September, the Sweeney will have its premier in Great Britain and the Focus ST will go on sale next summer also in Great Britain. The ones interested in the car should know that the ST has two variants, a five-door hatch model, offered in the US, Canada and another 38 countries and a station wagon version that will be sold in Europe. The two will be powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost engine that is able to produce 250 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque.
