Four midsize luxury sedan models were compared by Consumers Reports and the results were in favor of the 2012 Audi A6. The model managed to accumulate a great overall test score of 93. This is the same as the M37 that was tested before.
The reason, the model got this high score, a better one than the 79 achieved by the version before it, the four-door, is because the handling was improved, and the ride is more comfortable and the interior was also improved.
So, the car has a lot of advantages, qualities, but the fuel economy is not one of them. The A6 didn't receive the price for this; the Mercedes-Benz E350 BlueTec got that one with a 26 mpg US.
Senior director of Consumer Reports' Auto Test Center in East Haddam, CT, David Champion is very proud of the re-designed Audi A6 and admits it's a car that makes you smile while driving it.
