Honda revealed the Mugen CR-Z RR Study at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011 earlier this summer and now, as expected, the Japanese carmaker announced the fact that it will send it to production and will go on sale in Britain next year. It seems that this is the only market for the model. The production version will have a different name, the CR-Z iCF and was built in collaboration with Mugen. The model features a changed 1.5-liter hybrid powertrain the CR-Z has that has now a supercharger, a reprogrammed ECU and a new induction system. With this new engine, the model is able to produce 50 % more power, so 175 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 6.1 seconds. Both the interior and the exterior were modified and the chassis was retuned. The price for the new CR-Z iCF starts at GBP 24.000. Maybe before the launch of the car, we will find out more.
