Hyundai is doing just fine, despite the economical crisis the world is confronting with. It managed to overpass the 600.000 annual sales mark for the firs time in 25 years since it exists on the US market. The new redesigned Elantra also increased in sales by 43%, registering a record for the model series, from 151.735 units last year to 216.331 this year. This record was reached even if new entries from other competitors like the Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Focus and Honda Civic showed face. The carmaker revealed its plans for the future regarding the Elantra and it seems that it will present a two door coupe model that will be launched next February in Chicago at the 2012 Auto Show. President and CEO of Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. said that thanks to its design, the advanced safety features and fuel efficiency, the Elantra goes perfectly on their market.
