The Japanese carmaker, Toyota will soon reveal its Australian Camry. The model is almost identical to the North American model, but it has some differences on the inside, trim, steering and suspension settings. All these were modified to cover the needs of the local market. The model will be exported to more than 12 countries earning around $ 1 billion a year. It will be produced in Melbourne and this factory is dependent on exports. The car will bring a lot of benefits to the local economy, says David Buttner, Toyota Australia senior executive director sales and marketing. The Australian model will feature a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that will send the power to the wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. Also, the new range introduces two bespoke looks, the Altise and three new Altara variants. The Altise can deliver 133 kW and 231 Nm of torque and Atara 135 kW and 235 Nm of torque. The starting price for the car is $ 30.490 and goes up to $ 39.990 for the Atara SL. Next year, the carmaker will introduce a hybrid version as well.
