BMW revealed the 2010 Grand Coupe Concept

Apparently the first 6-series production version created by BMW will feature two doors and not four. The carmaker revealed the 2010 Grand Coupe Concept first. This is not really the first time they have thought about setting new standards in the four-door coupe market. Back in 2007, the CS concept was presented and had the same configuration.
This current concept measures 5.007 mm long and a wheelbase of 2.968 mm. The Grand-Coupe offers three options: the 640i powered by a N55 that will be available next summer and the 650i Gran Coupe powered by the 4.4-liter V8. The diesel version is the 640d 3.0-liter that produces 313 horsepower and that will not be delivered in the US, apparently.
The power will be sent to the wheels through an 8-speed Sport Automatic transmission. The price is still unknown, but the German carmaker will make it public a little bit later.
