The V60 Plug-in Hybrid will go on sale in the UK

The United Kingdom customers now know haw much they have to take out of their pockets to get the new V60 Plug-in Hybrid, as Volvo released the price list. Now that you know how much it will cost, you should also know it will go on sale at the beginning of next year.
The production will start in November 2012 and the carmaker decided to only build 1.000 units / year. All of them will come in the highest SE Lux trim level and also with a Pure Limited specification. The models are powered by a 2.4-liter turbo diesel, 5-cylinder engine and also an electric motor. This last one, actually powers the rear axle. The combustion engine is able to develop 215 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque and the electric motor helps producing 70 extra horsepower and 200 Nm of torque. It is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 6.2 seconds.
The car has a fuel consumption of 1.9 l / 100 km/h and 49 g / km CO2 emission level. At speeds of 50 km/h or less, the hybrid has 0 emissions. The price of the V60 is between GBP 45.000 and GBP 50.000.
