Here we have pictures of General Motor's latest and hottest version of their compact hatchback under the shape of the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic RS. The model will have its first motor show in Detroit at the 2012 North American International Auto Show. The five-door model features a 1.4-liter turbocharged Ecotec engine that is able of delivering 138 horsepower. The exterior appearance is from the Aveo RS Concept, a model that was unveiled about two years ago, in Detroit. Some of the differences refer to the suspension and the handling, which have been tuned. Because of the new modern, connectivity features and the styling elements the model is not far from performance. The modification the carmaker made include four-wheel disk brakes as standard, a lowered and stiffened suspension by MacPherson with performance-tuned dampers, but also 17-inch alloy wheels. This is all we know so far as the carmaker did not release any information on the price.
