Chevrolet will replace the Impala

Chevrolet introduced the Impala back in 1999 and time has come to replace it. It 2005 GM redesigned the large sedan by switching it to a front-wheel drive layout. Since 1999, the carmaker managed to sell over 2.8 million units and 2007 was the best of them all.
A few days ago, GM confirmed their plans that involve the development of the 10th generation Impala. The new model will be built in Canada and in Detroit.
The model will have the same platform with the 2013 Cadillac XTS which will be presented to the world for 2013 and 2014 model year in North America. Both models will have front- and all-wheel drive. This will be something really new for Chevrolet models.
Apparently the car has some design cues similar to the previous generation Audi A6. This is what an inside source said after seeing a clay model of the 2014 Impala in the design studio.
This new car will be more popular with fleet customers and also it offers improved handling and ride.
