Mercedes CLC winter testing was spy photographed

The new Mercedes CLC is currently under a serious process of development and it can be described as a vehicle which is to be found at the border between a four-door coupe and a sedan. The latest spy photographs show the car while it was undergoing some winter testing, also revealing the fact that the car will be underpinned by the same platform found under the new A-Class and B-Class. However, the roof line gives the car the "baby CLS" unofficial designation. In Europe, the CLC will be released featuring diesel powerplants, while in the US it will be launched with a turbocharged 1.8-liter petrol that raises a power output of 201 HP. Furthermore, AMG plans to develop its own verssion of the car that would produce over 300 HP due to a downsized powerplant. The car will be available with front- or four-wheel drive and customers are given the opportunity to choose between a seven-speed automatic gearbox and a six-speed manual gearbox. The new Mercedes-Benz CLC is planned to arrive in showrooms next year with a large range of performances.
