Adding new colors together with a couple of equipment features to certain trim levels, Nissan enhanced the range of Nissan's Cube subcompact with a new special edition version. Thus, a new limited edition model named S Indigo is gained by the tall hatchback featuring a distinctive asymmetrical rear window, for the 2012MY. Its high-performance features comprise 15-inch aluminum alloy wheels, an intelligent key with an illuminated push button ignition, a Rockford Fosgate audio system, a rearview monitor, a standard navigation system with a five-inch screen and bespoke Indigo seat color. While a front passenger seat armrest has been added on both the S and SL models, the Nissan Intelligent Key is a standard feature that enhances the SL trim level. Five new colors for 2012 are also available, beginning with Gun Metallic, Brilliant Silver, Pearl White, Bali Blue and Cayenne Red. However, the pricing of the 2012 Cube has slightly increased as it starts from $14,980, without and destination fee and handling, which represents $240 more as compared to the 2011MY. The Cube 1.8 S M/T is priced at $16,420, the Cube 1.8 S CVT features a price of $17,420 and the Cube 1.8 SL CVT is priced at $18,520, prices which do not include handling charges and destination.
