Toyota introduced the NS4 Plug-in Hybrid concept

Toyota introduced a new model, the NS4 Plug-in Hybrid concept at the 2012 North American International Auto Show. This concept is actually a preview of a future mid-sized four-door sedan that will probably go on sale, in 2015. There are rumors saying that it will have a Hybrid Synergy Drive plug-in system. We don't really know if it's true or not, but the carmaker is the only one that can make thinks clear. The exterior styling still looks a lot like the Prius, but it catches your eyes faster. The carmaker equipped the NS4 with Pre-Collision System that includes lane departure, rear-end and pedestrian collision avoidance technologies. This is not all. The system uses near-infrared beams for better usability during nighttime. The carmaker also offered Adaptive Driving Beam headlights, a pop-up hood that manages to reduce head injuries if an impact with a pedestrian takes place. Toyota equipped the NS4 with a Blind Spot Monitor system as well. To improve the visibility, the windows have been specially treated. On the inside it features a Human-Machine Interface that uses a Smartphone-style multi-touch screen. In terms of connectivity, Toyota still has a lot of projects going on.
