Chevrolet revealed the Corvette 427 Convertible Collector Edition

Chevrolet presented us the Corvette 427 Convertible Collector Edition. This is not all. The carmaker also announced that it will soon finish a 60th Anniversary Package that will be available for the 2013 model year version of the sports car. The new model with the new package will be auctioned at Barrett Jackson, in Arizona, on the 21st of January. The selling price is still unknown. Apparently, this model is the fastest convertible model ever made by Corvette. The model is powered by a 7.0-liter engine that is able to deliver 505 horsepower and 470 lb. ft. of torque. The carmaker borrowed the rear axle, battery and the Magnetic Selective Ride Control from the Z06. It runs on Michelin PS2 tires and alloy wheels. The 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible Collector Edition is able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 190 mph. We will all have to wait a little bit more for the carmaker to reveal the price.
