Ford was proud to present its new work of art at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the 2013 Fusion. This model will be available as a Hybrid as well. The 2013 model will be sold on the European market and not only, as the Ford Mondeo. On the inside and outside it features a lot of new styling elements and it uses new technology. For example, the Fusion has the Lane Keeping System, MyFord Touch, adaptive cruise control and active-park assist. Also, the carmaker will sell the 2013 model with the Blind Spot Information System, an advanced suspension system and LED taillights. Ford offers three options when it comes to the engine: a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder one that is able to produce 170 horsepower and 170 lb. ft. of torque and the is matted to a six-speed automatic transmission, a 1.6-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder one, that can deliver 179 horsepower and 172 lb. ft. of torque sending the power to the wheels through a six-speed automatic or manual transmission, or a 2.0-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder engine that produces 237 horsepower and 250 lb. ft. with SelectShift automatic. The hybrid version is powered by a 2.0-liter DOHC inline four-cylinder Atkinson-cycle gasoline engine that can deliver 185 horsepower and 130 lb. ft. of torque. The combustion engine works with a Permanent magnet AC synchronous electric motor and an electrically controlled continuously variable transmission. The price for the new 2013 Ford Fusion will be revealed later. Subscribe to Car news by Email |
